This was my conversion of the Marines' Rules for Gun Fighting. Enjoy.
1. Be courteous to everyone and administer equal amounts of destruction. In other words be a Professional Warfighter.
2. Decide to be aggressive ENOUGH, quickly ENOUGH, and act decisively.
3. Have a plan.
4. Have a back-up plan, because the first one probably won't work.
5. Be polite. Be professional. But plan to kill everyone you meet. Because, they are planning to kill you.
6. Do not attend a battle allowing missile weapons if you didn’t bring your own.
7. Anything worth “shooting” (see above) is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap. Life is priceless.
8. Move through your opposition. Chaos is your friend.
9. Ensure you rally in order to provide the opposition an opportunity to experience MORE Chaos.
10. Use cover and/or concealment as much as possible. (Ref Woods Battle)
11. At the start of the battle, Charge. At each re-start of the battle, Charge. At the last two minutes, Charge.
12. Flank your adversary whenever possible. Protect your own.
13. Remember your triads. Three on one IS a fair fight. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.
14. In ten years nobody will remember the details of the strategies or tactics. They will only remember who lived and who was decimated.
15. If you are not hitting something, you should be communicating and moving.
16. Be courteous to the opposition and leave no doubt that they are dead.
17. And above all ... don't drop your guard.
